Offered online and on campus, the MPH in Disaster Management will teach you to combat the public health challenges created by disasters.
Disasters present a unique set of problems every time they strike, especially when it comes to public health. Whether you attend class online or on campus, Tulane University’s Master of Public Health in Disaster Management will teach you to prepare for and manage the response to natural, human-made, and technological disasters. In 1912, Tulane University launched the first public health school in the United States. Since then, Tulane has established a rich legacy as a leader in public health, as evidenced by the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine’s No. 12 ranking among public health schools in the U.S. Today, students across the country can access our innovative curricula and acclaimed thought leadership through our extensive suite of specialized programs, offered both online and on campus.
Exceptional, field-tested faculty members have experience in all areas of public health, providing students with a holistic perspective on various public health practices. Whether on campus in New Orleans or in their own communities across the country, our students learn by doing through field placements and hands-on experiences in public health roles. We're tremendously excited to be taking our highly ranked classroom experience and making it available to working professionals who may not be able to participate in a traditional, on-ground program.
